A Hitless Wonder on Saturday Night Still Gets the Job Done

Saturday night had most of feeling excited, but at the same time saying “how the hell did that happen?’

The Dodgers came out on top Saturday night against the Angels with a score of 1-0. Great right? That wasn’t the weird part. It was how they won.

Technically the Dodgers didn’t get one hit on Saturday night. They came out winners because the Angels made some ridiculous errors that enabled the Dodgers to score. Now it may have been the only run on the board for the game, but that is all the boys in blue needed to clinch victory Saturday night.

In the fifth inning, Angels pitcher Jered Weaver missed a ball hit up the first base line by Matt Kemp. Blake DeWitt came up to bat with Matt Kemp then stealing second and moving onto third after another error was  made by Angels catcher Jeff Mathis as he threw a lousy wayward throw allowing Kemp to score on DeWitt’s sacrifice fly to right field.

Incredible. The Dodgers hit nothing all year and somehow it ends up working in their favor. Sounds like an episode of Full House where some cheesy thing happens and the Tanners make it out okay. LAME. Just another day in crazy, mixed-up Dodger land.

And to Jered Weaver: Stop being a whiny baby. The post game coverage was the best watching him yell and scream like a little girl in the dugout. Take it like a man, Weaver and face the fact that you suck and you made some embarrassing errors.

Besides our fans could beat up their fans. I mean come on-has anyone seen the left field pavilion lately?

Keep it blue and see you next game Dodger fans!

Dodgers Beat Angels Friday, Pig Spotted Flying Over Stadium

Is it real? Oh hell yes it is. It is hard to believe that after a loss on Thursday that was enough to make any Dodger fan want to kick some ass that the Dodgers actually did something that we didn’t think they would be able to do-they beat the Angels on the first night of the Freeway Series with a score of 6-0.

Chan Ho Park pitched a hell of a game Friday night making the beginning of the weekend just a little sweeter. Park pitched six scoreless innings. He was on fire as he struck out seven Angels without a single walk. Chan Ho Park is definetely the Comeback Kid as he was on fire throwing a perfectly, sneaky fastball that was sending Angels packing.

Let’s not forget about the awesome performance from the Dodger offense that we saw Friday. The Dodgers proved that they can still bring the big bat. In the first inning alone, Russell Martin hit a home run deep into the center field and into the pavilion. At least the people paying for the all-you-can-eat package got their money’s worth.

One of the best highlights took place in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Dodgers already had a comfortable 3-0 lead against the Angels. But Andre Ethier knew they could do better than that. Ethier hit a perfect home run out of the park that brought in 3 runs to give the Dodgers the score that would win the game. Ethier has definetely found a niche this season as he has been a superstar when it comes to proving how good he is with a bat.

This couldn’t have been a better way to start the weekend. It was unbelievable mostly because a lot of us fans prepared for another loss since the Angels have been playing more than decent. And it feels good to beat them because what Dodger fan still isn’t pissed and annoyed they call themselves the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim? Anaheim isn’t even in LA. What a bunch of geniuses.

All I have to say to the Angels fans is this: Welcome to LA, bitches.

See you next game and go big blue!
